Have you
ever dreamed of being part of the
pristine Canadian wilderness? Enjoy the perfect combination of a
comfortable lodge stay and adventurous campfire romance!
After two nights at Frances Lake Wilderness Lodge we
will take our motorboat to the scenic East Arm of Frances Lake, where
we'll put up our tents in a remote sandy bay for the next few days. We
will learn about the outdoors, discover new plants, observe moose,
beavers, eagles and otters. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing and relaxing
will all be part of an experience that will touch your soul! The last
night of your trip will be spent back at the lodge in your cozy log
cabin. Enjoy the comfort of a rustic life-style and let us spoil you
once more with our personal service, sauna and great food.
Requirements for the 4-day
camping trip:
- No prior paddling and wilderness experience
necessary, as an introduction to various skills will be part of the
tour.
- Well suited for families with kids.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Make your own journey to Frances Lake. Our meeting
point is at the boat ramp, where we will pick you up by motorboat. From
there, it's a leisurely 30-minute ride to our wilderness lodge, where
you'll be shown to your private, cozy log cabin. After a hearty dinner
in the main lodge, you can relax in our comfortable living room or
enjoy the lovely view from your cabin's front porch, looking out across
the lake and into the Logan Mountains.
Day
2: Relax at the lodge
or participate in guided excursions, go fishing,
paddle around the sheltered bay or stroll along the lake's beach. A
visit to the abandoned Hudson's
Bay Company trading post will carry you away into past times.
Take your time to fully enjoy your waterfront log cabin and let
yourself be spoiled by our kitchen's delicious creations.
Day 3: After breakfast we will
leave the lodge and take a pleasant boat ride up the East Arm of
Frances Lake. In a remote sandy bay, we will put up our wilderness camp
for the next few days. We'll take some time to explore our new home,
and if we're lucky, by the first night we'll have already caught a fish
for dinner at the campfire.
Days
4 – 5: On day trips — by canoe and on foot — we'll discover
charming beaches, bays and nearby ponds. With a little luck we can
observe moose, beavers, eagles and otters. We will learn about the
outdoors and discover new plants. There will be plenty of time for
relaxing, photography and angling — or you can go for a refreshing dip
in the lake! Our daily routine will be determined by the weather and
the preferences of the group. Our goal is to live with the rhythm of
nature.
Day 6: After enjoying our final
day camping, we'll take down our tents and say good-bye to the
strikingly beautiful scenery. By boat, we'll cruise back to the lodge,
where a hearty meal and all the comforts of your cozy little cabin will
be waiting for you.
Day 7: After breakfast we
will bring you back to the boat ramp and to your vehicle.
